Smart Resourcing Solutions was created by Sophie Milliken and Simon Pollard in April 2013. The company provides a variety of consultancy based services to students, universities and employers to support delivery of employability processes for a number of stakeholders.
We have thirty two year’s experience of a corporate environment having being employed by the John Lewis Partnership and HSBC Bank plc. Over recent years, we have specialised in graduate recruitment and have an excellent knowledge of the market, best practise and have developed strong working relationships with a number of universities and employers through representation of our organisations at the Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) and University Employability Boards.
We have direct experience of leading the attraction, recruitment and on boarding of graduates onto award winning graduate programmes. Day to day tasks included delivering application screening, telephone interviews and assessment centre management. Review of existing processes and campaigns have been commonplace along with the relationship management of business, university and third party suppliers and stakeholders.
Since the company formation, a number of services have been delivered to businesses and on university campus with a professional and personal approach that can be absent with large agencies. Examples include outsourced delivery of application form screening, telephone interviews and managing assessment centres. We have also redesigned assessment and selection process and materials for a leading high street retailer. University projects include workshops and training to support the employability agenda. Our student proposition includes individual or group coaching solutions using our Plan>Prepare>Compete>Secure methodology.
We are enthusiastic about improving a student’s employability prospects through working with the Universities and ensuring that an employer has efficient and effective processes in place to hire a candidate who matches their requirements.
